shockoe records - communications and music internship
As part of my academic internship, I worked with local Richmond music label Shockoe Records as a communications intern. Not only did I create content for social media that highlighted the lighthearted and passionate nature of the company, but I was trusted with creating videos to help attract new sponsors and partners to ensure that Shockoe Records continues to bring entertaining events and live music to the Richmond area. Additionally, I lended a hand in designing for some of the labels artists so that people may find out more about these artists in a streamlined way.
Behind the scenes
I learned a lot during my time with the team at Shockoe Records, but the most captivating thing to me was not the process, but the people. These people are empathetic and passionate about what they do, so being entrusted to capture the joyous moments that happen backstage was a joy.
Sponsorship videos
Shockoe Records makes their name known through their presence in Richmond music. This would not be possibly without their many partners and sponsors in the area. To rally this support, the label tasked me to create videos to inform potential sponsors of the benefits that come with supporting Shockoe Records and their various events.
